Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actor, director, producer, educator, playwright and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father is British and her mother, an Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother work at play rehearsals. Anna was featured in a variety of advertisements when she was a child. Then, in November 1999 Anna moved to Toronto to advance her acting career. She ended up moving into Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in a Los Angeles actors' workshop earlier in 2007, was her husband in 2009. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism. The couple was weddings in the month of December this year. They then reaffirmed their vows at an Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was highlighted in the top TV Couples ever and named Top Television Couple 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on social media grew as a result of the show.
